How to replace the SP-548 spark plug in a 5.0L Coyote V8?
Wait for the engine to cool completely before starting.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Remove the ignition coil from the first cylinder.
Use compressed air to clean any debris from the spark plug socket before removal. Use a 9/16" spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug.
Install the new SP-548 spark plug by hand first to avoid cross-threading.
Apply 11 ft-lbs of torque - do not overtighten.
Reinstall the DG-542 ignition coil and repeat for all 8 cylinders.
Reconnect the battery, clear all fault codes, and take a test drive.
